Hi.

Welcome to my blog where I document my learning in teaching, coaching, language and culture. During the school year, I have the honor of working with the best of two worlds. Part of my day, I work alongside with English language learners in the classroom part of my day. The other part of my day, I get to share it with wonderful colleagues as we sit down together, providing instructional coaching, brainstorming possibilities together or just listening.

Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls

Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls. 100 Tales of Extraordinary Women. Compiled by Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo (Volume 1).

This amazing book  started as a crowdfunding project and from there the project took off breaking a record of more than one million dollars in funding. What has this proven? That backers from all around the world wanted to see a collection that celebrated women in history and their legacy.

This book is a work of love and art. Talented artists from all around the world contributed their work to make the illustrations of this book as stunning as they are. It truly does take a village. The biographies are so well written. It fits in one page. Enough relevant information is included to keep readers engaged but not too long that they get lost. It's the perfect bedtime book that families and children will revisit over and over. Some of the women included in this book are: Amelia Earhart, Coco Chanel, Evita Peron, Hellen Keller, Malala, Maya Angelou, Misty Copeland, Rosa Parks, among other brave women. I can't wait to get my hands on Volume 2! Coming Soon!
